The concept
For most people it is difficult to get a clear overview of their expenditures and their financial needs. This is due to the expenditure chaos with direct debits (“automatische incasso”), cash expenditures, PIN transactions and internet banking transactions. In the end, the only overview a customer gets from the bank is a flat list of difficult to read transactions, sorted by date.

Moneywatch[er] is an intelligent bank statement aiming to represent this information in a much more useful manner. Moneywatch[er] is an independent service with its own website, brand, look & feel.

What’s in it for the user?
Moneywatch[er] will provide users with simple and easy tools to quickly oversee their financial situation and helps making decisions that will benefit their wallet:
• A clear bank statement of all past transactions with all items categorized (house, food, insurance, etc…)
• An overview of all future bills, showing due payment dates and helping in reminding to pay on time.
• Benchmarking spending against that of other users and following spending behavior.
• Offers from partners that are directly related to the user’s spending profile.

What’s in it for the business partner?
For partners, the platform will offer the perfect position to promote loyalty: next to the transaction the user made with that partner. This opens a new communication channel to customers that normally only swipe their PIN card in the shop.

Additionally, premium partners have the possibility to present the bills on the Moneywatch[er] platform. The users have all their bills in one place and are encouraged to pay on time. As with the transactions overview, the bill overview allows placement of loyalty promotions.

The service is free for the users, the business model is based on earnings from business partners.
